What started as a personal journey from full-time careers in teaching and healthcare to building a portfolio of investment properties has now evolved into a platform helping thousands achieve similar success.

Lois’s Journey
Like many of you, I was a novice in the world of real estate investment. My initial interest was sparked by the realization that while I rented an apartment, someone else was profiting from my monthly payments. I wanted to flip the script and become the one receiving the rent.
But where to start?
The legal complexities seemed insurmountable. That’s when I discovered there were legal services available. With the lawyer’s patient guidance, I navigated through the labyrinth of real estate law, corporate law, tax law, estate planning and so many more areas of law. From drafting contracts to understanding zoning laws, they provided me with the knowledge and tools I needed to make my first rental property purchase in 2003.
Becoming an Advocate The transformation was incredible. Before long, I found myself recommending legal services to anyone facing legal hurdles. Whether it was a business owner dealing with a contract dispute or a fellow investor navigating property laws, my automatic response became, "You should call your law firm. They will help you solve that problem." One fateful night, I attended a Real Estate Investment Club Meeting. It was there that I enthusiastically shared my positive experiences, and she asked if I had considered becoming an associate. Her proposal was simple yet life-changing: sign up, offer the legal service to others, and get paid for it.

Amy’s Journey
Having worked in the healthcare industry for several years, I realized that I enjoyed helping people and making a difference in their lives. It was fulfilling yet disheartening to see many people struggle to access medical care or pay for essential medicines due to financial constraints.
Reflecting on my future, I did not want to find myself in a similar situation, especially as I got older. Initially, investing in stocks, mutual funds, and 401(k)s seemed like the only options available. That was until I discovered the incredible potential of real estate investing and the rewarding venture of owning my own business providing legal services.
Lois and I met in 1999 and have been partners since then, both in business and in life. We shared a common goal and drive to achieve time and money freedom. While we both had full-time jobs, we dedicated our days off and after-work hours to working with a mentor to acquire rental properties. It was time-consuming and required a steep learning curve.
Having a team was crucial to our success. Our team consisted of a realtor, contractor/handyman, insurance agent, mortgage broker, escrow and title company, management company, and especially a group of nationwide lawyers. They assisted us with all the facets of real estate investing and business management.
Achieving Financial Freedom Fast forward to today, and we have passive and residual income that covers our expenses whether we work or not. We call this "Income While You Sleep". Lois was able to quit her teaching job after three years, and I can afford my eye treatments and support my elderly mother.
The best tip we can offer is to be coachable, be willing to do the work, and have a burning desire to achieve your goals. Also, find a mentor who can lead you in the right direction and develop a team to support you.
In real estate investing and business ownership, it's best to learn about various areas initially. Then, pick one area to pursue and become an expert in it. Think of it as going to college, gaining basic knowledge, and then choosing a major to focus on to graduate with a professional degree.
